About This Spot

Stepping into La Tingeria feels like discovering a lively neighborhood gem tucked quietly into Falls Church. The restaurant’s modest frontage opens to a space where conversations hum alongside the sizzle of fresh Mexican flavors being crafted with care. The pace here is unhurried yet vibrant—a spot where familiar comfort meets the buzz of a taqueria that knows its soul and tradition well.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual ease and a subtle sense of celebration. Inside, seating invites close-knit gatherings, while a quaint outdoor patio offers a spot to linger and savor the rhythms of the street and community life. It’s a place where the welcoming warmth of the team and the inviting scent of home-style cooking come alive.

What truly makes La Tingeria special is the way it marries authenticity with thoughtful inclusivity. Here, you’ll find Mexican favorites prepared with halal ingredients, offering a unique blend that respects tradition and embraces diverse palates. Whether it’s the smoky notes of tacos that carry a delicate balance of spice and freshness, or the way rich quesadillas and hearty tortas arrive generously filled, each bite unfolds like a small celebration of flavor and culture.

The experience extends beyond the food itself—there’s a genuine sense of connection crafted through handmade tortillas, vibrant salsas, and the subtle interplay of textures and tastes that invite conversation and a return to easy, joyful eating. Patrons often find themselves drawn back not only for the flavors but for the simple pleasure of sharing a meal in a place that feels both authentically Mexican and warmly local.

If you're seeking more than a quick bite, La Tingeria offers a moment of discovery—a chance to enjoy familiar dishes made thoughtfully, in a setting where the human moments around the table feel just as important as the spices that fill the air.

A taqueria with a pretty decent selection of tacos with pretty food prices. This place advertise halal prepared meals. Seats are pretty limited inside but there's decent seating at the outdoor patio. Parking is pretty limited. Al.pastor and the beef birria are good. Carne asada is okay.

Tacos were pretty good and the sauce made it great. Honestly rating it a 5 star because of Taco Tuesday. $2 tacos. How can you beat that…. Yeah im going again today. Yes, it is a Tuesday :) **EDIT: THEY CHANGED THEIR DISCOUNT FROM ALL DAY TO ENDING I THINK AT 11 AM CALL TO VERIFY** I did not like any of the side dishes - rice, beans or the elote (corn)

Update: We have returned a few times and tried the other menu items, the tostadas in particular are very good. You can't go wrong. Original: Came here after discovering this place on Tyler Cowen's food blog and it did not disappoint. We tried the hal pastor torta and a few tacos, everything was excellent from the tortillas to the salsas. Very happy to find a good taco spot in the DMV, we've been struggling after leaving Cali. Will return!

Tacos were excellent, tortillas and salsa were homemade and authentic. I just moved here from CA and needed a taco fix. With a Mas Paz mural you know it has to be good. Looking forward to becoming a regular here!

In love with this restaurant! The portions are better than every other Mexican/taco place and the quality is flavorful and phenomenal. The salsas are the perfect complement. My husband and I tried it out because it is halal and we want to support but I have to say it’s one of the best. Super authentic.

Was told this was the best place for tacos in all of NOVA- and they were amazing. Cute little place with absolutely fabulous tacos. And we ordered at the counter and it was Taco Tuesday— 2.00 tacos- who knew???

The food is so, so, so good. I got a few chicken tostadas as part of the $2 Thursday special and they were stacked and delicious. The tacos also did not disappoint, I cannot wait to try more of those.
